Bites Along Bayard

Living close to Chinatown certainly comes with it's perks - especially if you like good food at a delicious price point. Over the last few months, we've been taking note of our favorite finds that, to our surprise, are all nestled along Bayard Street. Next time you find yourself in the area, this is what we recommend!

1) Xi'an Famous Foods

45 Bayard Street

If the chewy, weighty, hand ripped noodles aren't enough to write home about, the delectably spicy flavor fusion sure is. Don't like spice? A note from the owner regarding this matter is posted next to the register - trust him on this - it's worth a try!

My pick: Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand Ripped Noodles

2) Deluxe Green Bo

66 Bayard Street

This place is always buzzing with business, and for good reason. The food is fast, delicious, and comes at an incredible price point. Dinner for two (before tip!) comes out to be around $20. Bring cash!

My picks: Pork Soup Dumplings, Spicy Wontons with Peanut Sauce

3) Mei Le Wah

62 Bayard Street

This no-frills bakery serves up some of the most mouth watering buns you'll ever try. See a line out front? Head straight inside with cash in hand to order. A local shortcut!

My picks: Steam Roast Pork Bun, Pineapple Bun with Roast Pork

3) Alimama Tea

89A Bayard Street

This bakery's mochi donuts are enough to make you a repeat customer alone. Not only are the flavors unique, but they are also gluten free! This is my sister's favorite spot and is sure to be yours too!

My picks: Milk Tea Boba Cream Puff, Cereal Donut

Enjoy!

Meg
